1966 Porsche 912 SWB, GENERAL: Offered for sale is an early-production 1966 Porsche 912 SWB, finished in loght ivory (6604). This car is a highly original and well-preserved example of Porsche's first-generation short-wheelbase models. Combining mechanical integrity with authentic period details, it presents as an honest, unmodified classic, ideal for enthusiasts and collectors alike. TECHNICAL & MECHANICAL CONDITION: This 912 features the desirable and rare 5-speed manual gearbox (902-1), which was a factory option at the time. The car is in sound mechanical condition and has recently received servicing to ensure road readiness. Work included cleaning and sealing of the carburetors, a brake system inspection, standard ignition and oil maintenance. Both the engine and gearbox are the original one, according to the Kardex, so this means it is an rare fully matching numbers 912 with a 5-speed manual gearbox. EXTERIOR & BODY: As an early short-wheelbase (SWB) model, this 912 includes hallmark features such as horn grilles, a split rear engine lid, and chrome wheels, all of which are present and correct. The floors and structural components are solid, showing no signs of significant prior damage. The white paintwork shows some signes of wear and tear, for example the paintwork on the hood could be improved. INTERIOR: The car retains its original interior according to the kardex. It is equipped with a black interior and the three green clusters, which was often seen on the early 912 models. The interior shows normal signs of wear, which can be expected for a car of this age.
