Dodge started out as a parts supplier for Ford and other manufactures. Soon, the pistol-packing John and Horace Dodge leveraged their reputation of supplying high-quality products into a full manufacturing concern, producing their first automobile in 1914. In 1929, A year after being bought by Chrysler, Dodge introduced its first pickup truck in. The B-series trucks were sold from 1948 to 1953. They featured a high visibility cab referred to as the “Pilot House”, the bed sides were made higher for increased cargo capacity, and the redesigned cab can seat 3 people.
