De Porsche 911R is een legendarische sportwagen die voor het eerst werd geïntroduceerd in 1967. Het model werd ontwikkeld als een lichtere, krachtigere variant van de iconische Porsche 911. Met een 2.0-liter zescilindermotor, afgeleid van de raceauto's, gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde transmissie. Slechts 20 exemplaren werden oorspronkelijk gebouwd om te voldoen aan de homologatievereisten voor de races.
De 911R werd beroemd om zijn pure rijervaring, uitstekende wendbaarheid en minimalistisch ontwerp. Door de jaren heen heeft het model zijn plaats verdiend als een van de meest gewilde verzamelobjecten voor Porsche-enthousiastelingen vanwege zijn zeldzaamheid en historische waarde. In recentere tijden, als eerbetoon aan zijn erfgoed, heeft Porsche de 911R in beperkte aantallen opnieuw uitgebracht, waarbij moderne technologieën en prestaties werden gecombineerd met een vleugje nostalgie.
Een zeer uniek gebouwde Porsche. Dat is hoe door ons aangeboden auto gezien mag worden. De auto begon zijn leven in 1968 als een 912. Hij is uit de Verenigde Staten geïmporteerd en ingevoerd naar Engeland. Hier heeft een volledige restauratie plaatsgevonden. De auto werd compleet leeggetrokken, waarna alle naden van de carrosserie zijn doorgelast voor extra stevigheid. Daarna is de auto door een professioneel bedrijf opgebouwd als rally-uitvoering en voorzien van een gereviseerde aluminium 2.0 S-motor uit 1968 (type 901/02)
Sinds 2012 staat hij geregistreerd op Nederlands kenteken. Momenteel is hij in het bezit van een Nederlandse Porsche-verzamelaar, R Gruppe-lid en voormalig redacteur van het Porsche RS-magazine. De auto is uitgevoerd in een mooie "Light Ivory" lak. Naar schatting is er ruim 1000 uur arbeid verricht en €100.000,- in geïnvesteerd.
De motor is voorzien van 2 Weber carburateurs en 2 K&N filters. Het vliegwiel is vervangen voor een lichtgewicht vliegwiel en de koppeling betreft een AP Competition koppeling. De 911 versnellingsbak is van aluminium en heeft 5 korte versnellingen, verstevigde zijplaten & Teddy Bear lagers. Ook is de Porsche in bezit van een hydraulische handrem.
De portieren, voor- en achterklep bestaan uit polyester, en de achter- en zijruiten zijn gemaakt van lexaan. Binnenin de auto ben je omringd met een volledig FIA gecertificeerde & door-gelaste rolkooiconstructie. Je zit veilig en sportief in de OMP race-kuipstoelen met 5-punts gordels, met hierbij een Momo racestuur. Onderaan de auto bevinden er 15 inch Competition Racing M2 velgen. De auto heeft sinds de complete herbouw slechts 6000 kilometer gereden en kan dus beschouwd worden 'als nieuw'. De gehele restauratie is gedocumenteerd met foto's. Qua documentatie zijn er verder diverse facturen, historische papieren, technische documentatie, keuringen, registratiepapieren en handleidingen aanwezig.

De auto kan worden gebruikt als rally-auto maar is ook eenvoudig terug te bouwen naar originele 911R-replica door het onderstel te verlagen, Fuchs wielen te monteren en het interieur te voorzien van andere stoelen.

The Porsche 911R is a legendary sports car first introduced in 1967. The model was developed as a lighter, more powerful variant of the iconic Porsche 911. Featuring a 2.0-litre six-cylinder engine derived from racing cars, mated to a manual transmission. Only 20 examples were originally built to meet race homologation requirements.
The 911R became famous for its pure driving experience, excellent agility and minimalist design. Over the years, the model earned its place as one of the most sought-after collectibles for Porsche enthusiasts due to its rarity and historical value. In more recent times, as a tribute to its heritage, Porsche re-released the 911R in limited numbers, combining modern technologies and performance with a touch of nostalgia.
A very uniquely built Porsche. That is how car offered by us may be seen. The car started life in 1968 as a 912. It was imported from the United States and imported to England. Here, a full restoration took place. The car was completely drained, after which all seams of the bodywork were welded through for extra strength. The car was then rebuilt as a rally version by a professional company and fitted with a rebuilt 1968 aluminium 2.0 S engine (type 901/02).
Since 2012, it has been registered on Dutch registration plates. It is currently owned by a Dutch Porsche collector, R Gruppe member and former editor of the Porsche RS magazine. The car is finished in a beautiful "Light Ivory" paintwork. It is estimated to have had over 1,000 hours of labour and €100,000 invested in it.
The engine has been fitted with 2 Weber carburettors and 2 K&N filters. The flywheel has been replaced for a lightweight flywheel and the clutch is an AP Competition clutch. The 911 gearbox is aluminium and has 5 short gears, reinforced side plates & Teddy Bear bearings. The Porsche also features a hydraulic handbrake.
The doors, front and tailgate are made of polyester, and the rear and side windows are made of lexan. Inside the car, you are surrounded by a fully FIA-certified & through-welded roll cage. You sit safely and sportily in the OMP racing bucket seats with 5-point belts, with a Momo racing steering wheel attached. At the bottom of the car there are 15-inch Competition Racing M2 rims. Alongside these are other interesting parts & components such as;

The car has driven only 6000 kilometres since the complete rebuild and can therefore be considered 'like new'. The entire restoration is documented with photos. The car can be used as a rally car but is also easy to rebuild back to original 911R replica by lowering the chassis, fitting Fuchs wheels and changing the interior with different seats.
