Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC (European) offered for sale from a private collector. This well preserved Mercedes has just turned 50, but looks like new!

The vehicle is in a very good condition. It has been refurbished between 2009 - 2014 and barely used ever since, kept in a garage. During this process it received a new painting (same factory code), underbody coating, new upholstery, new interior leather, engine cleaned and all consumables changed in order to receive its Historical status with currently valid Hungarian Oldtimer (OT) registration until 11.2024.

The Mercedes was first registered in Switzerland in October 1973. Based on our research the car was owned by a single person from Bern, Switzerland until 2009. Between 1997 and 2009 it has not been used at all. Some maintenance invoices from the 90s are still available. In 2009 a Hungarian Mercedes enthusiast purchased it with a mileage of cc. 120.000 km, and started its refurbishment process which lasted until 2014. In that year the vehicle received its new Historical Hungarian registration which is acknowledged in the entire European Union. This coupé was maintained with great care and had its oil and filters changed yearly, despite the fact that during the last 9-10 years it has been driven only cc. 20.000 km.
It still has all original parts, everything was kept and it has NO RUST. These factors are mandatory in order to be able to successfully pass a Historical inspection in Hungary.
It has 2 keys, but couldn't be confirmed if they are the original ones from 1973 or not.

It rides on a correct set of 14-inch 'Bundt' alloy wheels, shod in Falken FK-07U tyres.

This R107-generation Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC is a very well-presented example of the handsome range-topping classic coupe, offered with three owners from new and from long-term ownership. Presented with an appealing colour scheme, a characteristically well-appointed cabin, and a potent yet smooth V8 engine, it would make an excellent addition to any assembly of classics, and a charismatic companion for weekend drives, fair-weather touring, and visits to classic car shows alike.
